Founded in 2011, Raw Talent Academy has partnered with organisations across the UK, helping them to recruit the best entry level talent based on competence & ability. In that time, over 700 candidates have secured a rewarding career with structured coaching and development.

For organisations looking to recruit entry level people, Raw Talent run their bespoke Early Careers Academy process. Looking at the widest talent pool possible and identifying candidates who match the organisation's profile.

For individuals looking to start a first or new career, Raw Talent looks past their CV, their education and their prior experience to speak to the individual. Understanding their motivations, desires and commitment to securing a new career. Candidates are then invited to showcase their ability at an Audition Day.

Meet our Founder - Lee McQueen

As an experienced employer and recruiter of talent, Lee had a vision of a better way to recruit. Before embarking on his journey to change recruitment by founding Raw Talent, Lee managed to find time to become a BBC Apprentice Winner and work for Lord Sugar.

Matt Price

Head of Sales

Starting with Raw Talent in 2014, Matt Price is now Head of Sales and responsible for finding and developing business with our clients. Matt is a keen drum & bass fan and father to a beautiful daughter.

Heather Saunders

Head of Operations & PA to Lee McQueen

Heather joined the business in 2012 and has since helped and supported all teams across the business. She is responsible for managing Lee and all operational aspects within Raw Talent.
Heather loves her music and family is the most important thing to her (having a teenage daughter definitely keeps her on her toes!).

Alex Lucas


Alex joined Raw Talent in July 2012 as Head Coach. Alex has played a key role in creating, developing and delivering Raw Talent’s sales training. Alex has also delivered training internally to Raw Talent’s sales and recruitment talent. Visit the Sales Training page for more information.

Christina Needs-Nurthen


Christina has been a key part of Raw Talent’s coaching team delivering innovative sales coaching across the UK. Christina has also delivered our employability coaching to organisations including Harrow College and Tottenham Hotspur Foundation. Visit the Sales Training page for more information.

John Walker

Non-Executive Chairman

John joined Raw Talent in mid-2017 as the organisation appointed a Board of Directors. A former President & CEO of Interface Europe and Asia Pacific – playing a key role in growing Interface into a global, multi-billion-pound turnover organisation – John will provide experience and guidance to the organisation.

Sue Cooper

Non-Executive Director

Former Morgan Hunt CEO & Managing Director, Sue also joined as a Non-Executive Director in mid-2017. Sue has an unrivalled knowledge of recruitment, network and her experience in growing Morgan Hunt to a 300 plus employee organisation will be invaluable to Raw Talent.

Bradley Whittock

Non-Executive Director (Finance)

Bradley joined at the same time as John and Sue with a focus on Finance. Bradley is an experienced Finance Director who specialises in working with SME’s advising them on business planning and strategic accounting.

Ann Brice


After a long career in both agency and in-house recruitment, Ann became part of our team in July 2017. As an experienced project consultant, with a delivery focus, Ann will bring experience, passion and noise to our delivery team

Soraya Stuart


A new addition to our team, Soraya joined us in August 2017. With a background in medical recruitment Soraya is keen to bring new innovative ideas to recruitment, thus reaching a wider market and helping us to grow.

Cat Gardner


With almost 10 years’ experience of working in recruitment, Cat joined the Raw Talent team in September 2017.

With a background in managing large teams and working in business development for a global recruitment firm, Cat is now excited to returned to her roots as Recruiter

Scarlett has recently joined us in 2018 as a Recruiter - Raw Talent herself, she will be supporting our projects to learn and develop her skills.
